Inbound to Finland – B2B Cooperation

This page describes Normid’s inbound-to-Finland cooperation with tour operators in Austria, Slovakia, Czechia and Hungary. This activity is separate from Normid’s outgoing group travel from Finland and is intended exclusively for professional partners.

What we do

We support Central European tour operators in developing and piloting group travel concepts to Finland outside the traditional mass destinations. Our role is to connect tour operators with suitable Finnish regional partners and help structure realistic, market-ready itineraries.

  • Market entry support and partner connections in Finland
  • Group concept development (routing, seasonality, group logic)
  • Stakeholder coordination during the product development phase
  • Pilot group support and long-term cooperation models

We operate as a B2B facilitator and local partner, not as a consumer-facing seller.

Focus markets

Our current focus markets are:

  • Austria
  • Slovakia
  • Czechia
  • Hungary

We work primarily with small and mid-sized tour operators specializing in cultural, nature-based and seasonal group travel.

Finland focus areas

We concentrate on Finnish regions that are accessible by flight or ferry connections, suitable for 7–10 day group itineraries, and interested in long-term Central European cooperation.

  • Turku Archipelago and Åland
  • The Bothnian coast (Ostrobothnia)
  • Selected lake and coastal regions in Southern and Eastern Finland

Regional focus may evolve based on partner interest and pilot results.

How we work

Our cooperation model is intentionally lean and flexible:

  1. Market discussion with a tour operator
  2. Identification of suitable Finnish regions and partners
  3. Concept development (routing, seasonality, group logic)
  4. Pilot group coordination (2027–2028)
  5. Evaluation and possible scale-up

We work project-based, without exclusivity unless agreed separately.

Normid is a Finnish tour operator and consulting entity with over 20 years of experience in specialized group travel and international cooperation. The inbound-to-Finland activity is coordinated by Matti Ranta-Krenkku and Veronika Mészáros. Our background combines tour operations, regional cooperation and Central European market knowledge.
